Who do you work with?
We work with small to medium-sized businesses, independent professionals, and organisations who need high-level support without employing someone internally full-time.
Many of our clients are brilliant at what they do, they just don’t have the time (or desire) to wrestle with formatting, systems, documents, or design.
What makes Off Your Plate different?
We care just as much about clarity as we do about design.
A document can look beautiful, but if people can’t understand it quickly, it’s not doing its job. We create resources that are professional, practical, and genuinely useful.
Are you virtual assistants?
Partly, but not in the traditional sense.
We combine executive-level administration, information design, systems thinking, and creative problem-solving. Think of us more as an extension of your team.
Do you only work with Christchurch businesses?
No, we work remotely with clients throughout New Zealand.

Some projects are quoted upfront, while ongoing support may be hourly or retainer-based. We’ll always be transparent about pricing before work begins.
Do you offer one-off projects or ongoing support?
Both.
Some clients come to us for a single project. Others keep us in their corner for ongoing support as their business grows.
We tailor support to what actually makes sense for your workload.
How quickly can you turn work around?
We’re known for being efficient and responsive.
Timeframes depend on the project, but we’ll always communicate clearly about delivery expectations and deadlines upfront.
Why wouldn’t I just hire someone permanently?
